Making Masks

Gucci Inspiration

Gucci, has not only been a successful fashion brand lately but has also engaged in the art world, young artists are doing collaborations with the fashion brand, and amazing things are created. After employing many artists to do their own memes for Gucci, this has also happened as part of the promotion of their new watch, making and finding faces anywhere, which was also done by artists.
This has given me ideas for my project, with concepts relating to emojis, faces, feelings etc.
Gucci is very thought- pioneering and fresh trying and succeeding to engage in the world today, adopting the new trends and ways people view the arts, lifestyle, fashion!!

Hockney at Tate

I am sure everyone has heard about this exhibition... I am very familiar with Hockney's work, been to a few of his exhibitions, so his work was not something new. Painting technique is obviously very interesting and unique but I haven't been impressed by this exhibition. I most of all liked his Sumo Book at the Tate Britain shop, as I was so much fascinated by his size, everything looked so nice in there!

Wolfgang Tillmans Tate Modern

Tillmans exhibitions was great! Impressive was the curation, photographs were very placed in a very interesting way! Photographs and his work is also very experimental, something very fresh which I actually liked a lot, not knowing so much about his work beforehand... Cool!

iPhone Experimenting Images - Paintings, Screenshots, Collages

Some images that illustrate the idea of my IPS! The phone language and everything based around phone communication, emojis, words, visuals!

Painting Workshop with Robert Nicol

I enjoyed this workshop a lot, challenge was to fill the whole piece of paper, I came up with good paintings, note as soon as I went home I started doing some development work for my IPS in painting.

Now What Logo

Each one of us as part of NOW WHAT designed their own logo
I used some of the black and white painting I previously created and combined it with the now what text, using my shapes to make circles and triangles in primary colour letters.

NOW WHAT LOGO
  1. The ‘o’ is a circle and the ‘a’ is a triangle.
  2. The circle represents a destination.
  3. The triangle represents a way of reaching that destination.

And here is a link to our kickstarter page, as we are aiming at collecting 5000 to fund our show!
